Zona Grabert Darcey, 95, a native of Raceland and resident of Thibodaux, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. A prayer service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Bridget Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Louis, Allen, Earnest and Ronald Darcey; daughter, Emma Darcey; brother, Floyd Grabert; sisters, Violet Dupre, Pearl Harson, and Vivian Giroir; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmore Darcey; sons, Jessie and Luther Darcey; parents, Harris Grabert Sr. and Edna Pertuit Grabert; brothers, Lionel, Harris Jr. and Lindsey Grabert; sisters, Belle Labit, Florence Brunet and Annabelle Pellegrin; grandson, Timmy Darcey; and great-granddaughter, Harley Martin.
Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
