Wilson Louis "Pa Pa Doogie" Dugas, born September 22, 1921 entered into eternal life on December 30, 2016 at the age of 95.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois LeBlanc Dugas, his second wife, Annette Butitta Dugas, and his dear friend, Theresa Barrios; brothers, Eugene and Lawrence Dugas; sister, Ollie Fanguy; son, Glenn Dugas; grandson, Craig Dugas; and son-in-law, Philip Bergeron.
He is survived by his sons, Louis (Loretta) and Dan (Monica) Dugas; daughters, Laura Richard, Ida Bergeron, and Carey (Timmy) Thibodeaux; brothers, Allen (Audrey) and Roland Dugas; sisters, Carmen (Stanley) Bussey and Lillian Dugas; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; step-children, Anita (Ellis) Larose, Linda (Terry) Cortez, and Thomas (Cher) Moore.
He was a Marine Corp Veteran of World War II. He was retired from Schlumberger. He was a Past Grand Knight of St. Bernadette Council #7355.
Wilson was a loving Dad and Grandfather and friend to many! He gave thanks every day for a wonderful life and appreciated everyone that was in his life.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM until 9 PM on Wednesday, January 4 at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 AM until service time on Thursday, January 5 at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at the church with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales cemetery II.
