Wilson Danos, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be held at noon Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving son, Dr. Bill Danos and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Nikki Danos, Jason Danos and wife, Ashley, and Krista Gagnet and husband, Patrick; three great-grandchildren, Regan, Morgan and Logan; and sister, Eula Stevens.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Vivian Gautreaux Danos; parents, Henri and Estella Champagne Danos; and sister, Evelyn Danos.
He lived a full life in Raceland. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Raceland VFW and American Legion. He was well known as a service station owner and school bus driver for many years.
Wilson was an avid gardener and a talented cook. He touched the lives of many people with his generosity, storytelling and infectious smile. He was a devoted caregiver of Lou Anna Gaudet.
