Willis Charles Brown, a native of Kilbourne La, and a resident of Houma, died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends at 8:13 pm. on Thurs. July 26, 2012 during his 95th year.
Visitation will be from 6 pm. until 8 pm. Sat. July 28, 2012 at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sun. at First Baptist Church, 7382 Main St. with visitation beginning at 1 pm. Burial will be in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens Cemetery, West Monroe.
He is survived by his daughters, Beverly B. Young and Dixie Brown and husband Thomas Becnel, one granddaughter, Abigail Brown Becnel, brothers, Jimmie Brown and Johnie Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Edna Lee Walters Brown, parents, John H. and Emily Stephenson Brown, brothers, Leon Brown and Buster Brown, sisters, Gladys McNeely and Hazel Wilson.
He retired after 37 years of service with Tenneco, formerly Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co.. He was also an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church of Houma.
