Willie Paul Champagne, passed away at his home in Paradis on November 5, 2015 at age 88.
Beloved husband of Emma "Tiny" France for 61 years. Guardian and brother-in-law to Phil France. Father-in-law to Kelly Carr France. Grandfather to Duane and Josh (Tiffany) France. Great grandfather to Kail, Devin, Kylie, Colin and Lorelai. Pa-Pa Willie to Darin Hebert and his family. Brother to Herbert, Louis, Earline, Doris Bolding and Edward Champagne.
He was preceded in death by his parents Valerie (Richard) and Elphage Pierre Champagne; siblings, Marie Gaubert, Lucille Gaubert, Oscar (O.J.), Andrew, Shirley Champagne and half-brother, Fred Champagne.
He was a Navy Seabee, veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 131 and VFW Post 3750, both of Luling.
A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church in Paradis on November 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation to begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, LA.
