Wendell Samuel Cooley

Wendell S. Cooley, 82, a native of Ragley and resident of Hahnville passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville on Thursday, March 21st from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow on Saturday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m.in Hagar Cemetery in Ragley.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Breaux Cooley; son, Luke (Margaret) Cooley; grandchildren, Kristen Renee Cooley, and Mark Anderson Cooley; siblings, Wayne Cooley, and Barbara (Bill) Freeman.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Stephen Cooley; parents, Clifton and Bertha Cooley; siblings, Floyell Simmons, and Dale Cooley.

Wendell enjoyed traveling, astronomy, and investing. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, his greatest love was holding Mrs. Judy’s hand.
