Weldon Paul Triche

Weldon “Chunky” Triche, 72, a native and resident of Lockport, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021.
Visitation will be from 8:30 am until 10:45 am on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Holy Savior Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Loupe Triche; daughters, Angela “Angie” Dufrene (Toby) and Kristy Weaver (Brett); grandchildren, Joel, Aaron, Ryen, Sara, Brendan and Isaac and sister, Elaine Gaude.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Triche Sr. and Melodia Triche; brothers, Warren, Eddie Jr., O’Neil, Shelton and Artwood Triche and sisters, Mary Louise Griffin, Doris Autin, Rosalie Faulterman and Thelma Chaisson.
Chunky was a former Lockport City Councilman, member of the Knights of Columbus and he was the Grill Master of Lockport. His passion was the Lockport Bayouside Park which was his vision. He led the Bayouside Park Committee.
