Walter J. Bourg, Sr., 62, a native and resident of Larose, died on Sept. 30, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, and from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Walter Bourg Jr., Armand "Moe" Bourg, Simon Bourg and companion Ofelia, Eric Bourg and wife Carla; daughters, Wendy Billiot and companion Robert Billiot, Tammy Billiot and husband Clyde Sr., Wanda Mejia and husband John, Trudy Adams and husband Teddy Sr., Judy Ougal and husband Edward, Marie Anderson and companion Sonny Bolware, Stella Bourg and companion Paul Rivero, Kristy Bourg, Jana Julian and husband Ace; brothers, David, Steven, and Ambrose Bourg; sister, Irene Bourg, 44 grandchildren and 23great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Champagne Bourg; parents, Armand Bourg and Marie Touchard Bourg; brother, Clifford Bourg, Sr.; and two grandchildern and 1 great grandchild.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
