Vivian Raymond Schouest, 93, a native of Cut Off, died at Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Mass will be held at noon Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Audrey S. Fremin and Melvina S. Breaux and husband, Numa; one brother, Lubin Raymond Sr.; four sisters, Estelle R. Williams, Florence R. Cheramie, Therese R. Duet and Alice R. Ledet; 14 grandchildren, Cindy F. Griffin, Faye Fremin, Sarah F. Pierce, Eddie Fremin III, Doug Fremin, Jerome Fremin, Terea B. Pierce, Danny Breaux, Davie Breaux, Alison Breaux, Ronald Schouest Jr., Chris Schouest, Angelle S. Schaumberg and Monique Hohl; 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston A. Schouest; her parents, Leonce and Ora Plaisance Raymond; two sons, Ronald Schouest Sr. and Leslie David Schouest; one son-in-law, Ed Fremin Jr.; and one grandchild, Mark P. Fremin.
She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a member of Holy Rosary Ladies Altar Society, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Boy Scout Den Mother and Women's Bowling Association.
