Virginia "Gin" P. Wunstell

Virginia “Gin” P. Wunstell, 66, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano from 8:30 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mrs. Virginia is survived by her husband of 51 years, Landry “Black” Wunstell; children, Blyght Wunstell (Suzanne), Sonya Worley (Tony), and Amy Melancon (Doug); grandchildren, Brock Wunstell, Brance Wunstell, Gracie Louviere, Brooks Wunstell, Kooper Worley, Bray Wunstell, and Will Louviere; and godchildren, Carlyn Arceneaux, Ross Bruce, and Daffy Duet.

Mrs. Wunstell was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie Plaisance; brother, Jules Plaisance, Sr.; sister, Judy LeBlanc; and father-in-law, John Wunstell, Sr.; and mother-in-law, Velma E. Wunstell.

Gin loved to read, doing puzzles and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She worked for Lady of the Sea Hospital for 16 years and greatly missed her co workers and friends.
