Virgie B. Rogers, 83, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by four sons, Albert Jr. and wife, Cynthia, Jimmy and wife, Brenda, Eugene and wife, Kathy, and Johnny and wife, Mary; two daughters, Malvina R. Breaux and Lottie Bell and husband, Kenneth; one brother, Mitchell Bourg; three sisters, Odessa Foret, Betty Jean Sorello and Elizabeth Vial; and 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Joseph Rogers Sr.; one son, Donald Anthony Rogers; three brothers, Taylor, Anderson, and Harrison Bourg; and three sisters, Evelyn Grabert, Mary Ann Duplantis and Catherine Rogers.
She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
