Verna Charpentier,53, a native and resident of Cut Off, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Valeria Charpentier; sisters, Connie Bouziga and husband, James, Penny Williams and husband, Kirk, Paula Mejia and husband, Gable, Melissa Pitre, Arlene Charpentier and Lisa Charpentier; brothers, Wade Charpentier and wife, Michelle, Hank Charpentier and wife, Gloria, Lance Charpentier and wife, Rachel, and Scott Charpentier; 18 nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her father, Landry Charpentier; grandparents, Edwin and Evelia "Bee" Cheramie and Levy and Justia Charpentier; and nephews, Colby Charpentier and Blake Valenzula.
She was an avid bingo player and loved to go to the casino. She was loved by all and will be truly missed.
