Ulysse "Pops" Gaston Landry Jr., 85, a native of White Castle and resident of Houma, died at 6 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann Bonfanti Landry; sons, Kenneth and wife, Desiree, Michael and wife, Phyllis, Ronald, and Joey Landry and fiancee, Alicia; daughters, Pamela and Vicki Landry, and Cindy and husband, Toby Cunningham; sister, Rose Landry Parker and husband, James; grandchildren, Tammy and Nicholas Wright, Laura, Dustin, Madison, Dylan, and Carter Landry, and Kristen and Trey Thibodaux; and great-grandchildren, Layla Wright, Maddux Pontiff, and Kamryn Landry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysse Sr. and Inez Boudreaux Landry.
Ulysse was the retired proprietor of Houma Pest Control for 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He was a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Club (BPOE) and a member of the Civitan Club.
