Thomas James Simoneaux, 51, a native of Galliano, LA and a resident of Dallas, TX, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, February 3, 2014 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Golden Meadow, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday at Our lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Hebert Simoneaux; brothers, John Simoneaux and wife Donna, Mark Simoneaux and wife Consuelo; sisters, Kim Guidry and husband Troy, Karen Collins and husband Ray, Teresa Simoneaux, Ann Duet and husband David; 15 nieces and nephews, 3 great nephews and good friends, Alison, Mike and Cathy.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Simoneaux; grandparents, Donatien and Ulyssia Hebert and Phillip and Eva Simoneaux.
He was a journalist and author. He worked for the Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Gannett, Asahi in Tokyo. He was also an LSU graduate.
