Thomas Paul Naquin, age 93, a native and lifelong resident of Montegut, LA passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his home. Mr. Naquin was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Montegut. Thomas was a World War II veteran and served in the US Navy aboard the carrier, USS Swannee with recognition for the medals, American Area, Asiatic-Pacific – 7 Stars and Philippine Liberation – 2 Stars. He was a member of American Legion Post #0272 and VFW Post #7755. He was known for being a self - described entrepreneur. Thomas had previously worked for Texaco and also had served as a Board Member of the Terrebonne Parish Levee District. Mr. Naquin will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and brother.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Naquin and husband Albert, two sisters, Lelia Naquin and husband Emery and Hilda Naquin and husband Eugene, two grandchildren, Adam Naquin, Sr. and Stacey Naquin Ellender and husband Darrell, six great-grandchildren, Colin Pellegrin, Lane Naquin, Adam Naquin, Jr., Aydon Naquin, Beau Ellender and Jolie Ellender.
Mr. Naquin was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Naquin, parents, Dennis and Laura Dupre Naquin, brothers, Reynold Naquin, Elmore Naquin and sister, Kayble Naquin Cunningham.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Pointe Aux Chenes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery.
