Thelma Camille Guidy Lefort, 94, a native and resident of Galliano , born April 24, 1924 now resting in Jesus's arms June 11, 2018. A visitation will take place on Friday June 15, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery.
Mrs. Thelma is survived by her children, Michael Lefort, Glenn Lefort (Robin), and Denise Lefort; grandchildren, Chantel Kiger, Erin L. Dantin (Scott), Andrew Lefort (Kristina), Sarah L. Dufrene, and Roy Kiger III; great grandchildren, Mark, Ansley, Alexa, Renae', Lake, Joey, Athena, Eden, Evangeline, Ephraim, and Myles; and sister, Leodia G. Johnfroe.
Mrs. Lefort was preceded in death by her a great grandchild Iliana M. Dantin; parents, Camille Guidry and Lezima Duet; brothers, Gracien Guidry, Jackson Guidry, and Almate Guidry, sisters, Gracious G. Rousse, Eulalie G. Chouest, Ozite G. Eymard, Camillia G. Orgeron, and two sisters that died young.
Mrs. Thelma worked in the fabric department at TG&Y and Wal Mart and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Ladies Auxiliary Post 315. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and whenever she had a chance she'd spend that time fishing.
The family would like to thank Dr. Camille Pitre for caring for our mother all these years; along with the staff of the Broadway, Lady of the Sea General Hospital, and Ochsner St. Anne, you all went above and beyond caring for her. Again thank you.
