Terry "Big T" Martin

Terry “Big T” Martin, 79, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church from 8:30 am until service time. Big T’s Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with procession following to his burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

Mr. Terry is survived by his children: Angela Martin (Tammy), Tammy Martin, Brandy Lane (Bryan), Kevin Martin (Kim); grandchildren: Caleb Martin (Kalie), Seth Williams, Kayla Martin, Sarah Williams, Jake Martin, Sierra Williams; and sister: Judy Martin Sanders.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents: Theodore “Spank” Joseph Martin, Sr. and Venecia “Vern” Hodge Martin, sister: Hazel “My” Anne Martin; brothers: Herman “Man” Joseph Martin, Natilas “Polute” Joseph Martin, and Theodore “Tee” Joseph Martin, Jr.

Big T was an avid sports fanatic, with an amazing sense of humor, and took great pride in mentoring the youth of his community. To know Big T was to be loved by Big T.

Per his wishes, Big T wants everybody coming out wearing their LSU gear!

In lieu of flowers, his family asks for contributions be made to the family in memory of Big T to assist with medical and funeral expenses.
