Sylvia Zeringue Gaubert

Sylvia Zeringue Gaubert entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
Beloved wife of James “Jimmy” Gaubert for 58 years. Daughter of the late Murphy and Marian Champagne Zeringue. Mother of Stephanie Boudreaux (Garry), Maria Baudouin (Darryl) and David Gaubert (Wanda). Mam Mam to Lauren Haines (Adam), Andre’ Baudouin (Allyson), Rene’ Baudouin (Lauryn), Ryan Baudouin, Erin Suazo (Kevin). Great Mam Mam to Addison, Avery and Aubrey Haines, Lilian and Olivia Baudouin, Scarlett and Sebastian Suazo. Survived by one sister, Angela Z. Friloux.
She was preceded in death by her three siblings, Gary and Gerald Zeringue and Jeanne Z. Hand.
She was born on January 18, 1944 and was a lifelong resident of Luling, LA, She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua in Luling, where she was awarded the Order of the St. Louis Medallion. She also was an active member of several church committees. The Family Life committee and served as Pro-Life and Vocations committee chairman. She also taught religious education and RCIA for many years for the church. She was VFW Ladies Auxiliary Chaplin in Luling for many years. Sylvia was an avid Cubs fan. She also enjoyed playing cards and teaching card games at the Senior Citizens Card Club.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, January 30, 2023 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling. Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
