Sylvia “Coo” Trahan Crochet, age 89, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 2:03 p.m. in Houma. She was a native and resident of Bayou Black (Houma), LA

Relative and family of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Falgout Funeral Home, Houma on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Houma on Thursday, July 21, 2022 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Bayou Black Cemetery.

Sylvia is survived by her sons, Kevin F. Crochet and wife, Melanie, and Robert P. Crochet Sr; daughter, Emily C. Hebert; grandchildren, Tess Crochet, Jeremy Fontenot, Jenifer F. Rousseau and husband, Clifton, Amber Hebert and Fiancé’, Joshua Olivier, Ricky Herndon and wife, Jessica, Robert Crochet Jr. and Shelby Crochet and Fiancé’, John Ohlenforst III; great-grandchildren, Pierson Faulkner, Taya Babin, Jace Rousseau, Eloise Fontenot, Raigan Herndon, and John Ohlenforst IV.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James “Peanut” Crochet Sr.; parents, Alfred P. and Emily Breaux Trahan; son, James “Butter Cup” Crochet Jr; daughter, Elizabeth C. Fontenot; grandchildren, Theron Crochet, and Austin Hebert.
