Sylvia "Noo-noon" C. Cheramie, 86, a native and resident of Cut Off, died Saturday, May 28, 2011.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
She is survived by one son, Clayton Cheramie and wife, Audrey; three daughters, Elaine Jennings and husband, Bill, Nancy Woods and husband, Billy, and Audrey Cheramie; three brothers, Herbert, Landry, and Harold Charpentier; one sister, Gloria Danos; seven grandchildren; and 13 geat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Cheramie; her parents, Levy and Justilia Callais Charpentier; two brothers, L.J. and Gustave Charpentier; and one sister, Alice Exnicious.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association .
