Susan A. McCarter

Susan A. McCarter, 67, a native of Bayou Gauche, LA and a resident of Paradis, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:30 am on Friday, November 29, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Paradis, LA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands, LA.

She is survived by her husband, Richard T. McCarter; daughters, Jeanie Schaubhut Dufrene and Phoebe Schaubhut Foss (Carl H. Foss, IV); son Aaron Lee Schaubhut (Gabby Lee Schaubhut); grandchildren, Hunter James Dufrene, Mackenzie Grace Dufrene, Carl H. Foss V, Taylor Ann Foss and Parker Elise Schaubhut; parents, Walter “Butsy” A. Dufrene and Laura Foret Dufrene; siblings, Brenda Dufrene Baudoin (Toby), Charlene Dufrene Comardelle (Jan), Tammy Dufrene Savoie (Ricky), Jason Dufrene (Dawn) and Suzette Bourgeois Bartnesky (Mark).

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Byron Schaubhut; son-in-law, Ron Dufrene and grandparents, Aleven and Odette Foret and Amos and Virginia Dufrene.
