Susan "Pixie" Gouaux, 61, a native of Galliano and a resident of Lockport, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2014 at Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA and from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport, LA with private burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived her husband L. Phillip Gouaux, Jr.; daughters Dionne O'Brien and husband Jay, Andrea Gouaux, Jeanne Gouaux, Louise Lawson and husband Isaiah, Aimee O'Gwynn and husband Michael, Mattie Gouaux and companion Kimberly Chiasson; grandchildren, Andrew, Jayden, Molly, Maycee, Connor, Samantha, Katelyn, Peter Henry, Megan, Luke, Mallory, Alex, Ledger; brothers, Bobby Rousse, Richard Sumrall; father and mother-in-law, Louis and Evelyn Gouaux; and aunts, Daisy Griffin and husband Gus, Lola Brown and husband Francis.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edless Rouse; mother and step father, Marilyn Pitre Sumrall and Ray Sumrall.
She was a founding member of Bayou Lafourche Folklife heritage Museum (had their first meeting at her kitchen table), member of the Women's Club of Lockport Club of Lockport, Lion's Club member and a beloved teacher's aide at Holy Savior School.
In lieu of flowers donations to Holy Savior School preferred.
