Susan "Sue" Giroir

Susan Mary "Sue" Giroir, 59, a native and resident of Gibson, died at 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2011 from a battle of lung cancer.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Religious services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
She is survived by two brothers, Roy Giroir Jr., and Merriel Giroir and wife, Maria; two sisters, Jean Giroir, and Irma Pitre and husband, Bud Caro; three nephews, Chad Giroir, Chance Caro and Sam Grayson; three nieces, Leslie Frusha, Tara Pitre and Brandi Caro; three great-nephews, Jeromy Giroir, Jamey Morvant and Carsyn Giroir; one great-niece, Magen Caro; and a host of many great friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy John Giroir Sr. and Marguerite Dufrene Giroir.
She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Louis Bayou Blue Ladies Auxiliary and a faithful blood donor at Terrebonne General Medical Center. She was the best aunt anyone could have and a "mother hen" to many and a person who lived a very simple life.
Family would like to thank all the staff at LSU Chabert Medical Center for the great care that was given.
