Stephen John Griffin

Stephen John “Shauzz” Griffin, 75, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. He was a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, LA.

 Family and friends are invited on Tuesday, October 29 to attend a visitation held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9:00-11:00 a. m., with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial afterwards in cemetery behind the church.

 Stephen is survived by his wife Marlene, his daughters, Jackie and husband, Eric Galliano, Shelly and husband, Curtis Bruce Jr., and Megan Griffin; sister Linda Cheramie and brother Gene Griffin, his mother-in-law Anna Lou Terrebonne, 6 grandchildren, Devon, Anna-Claire, Chance, Connor, Christopher, and Mason and lifelong friend, Pookie.

 Stephen was preceded in death by his mother Bernice Griffin, father Wilkin Griffin, father-in-law Dudley Terrebonne, brother in law Peter Malecki and lifelong friend Carol Martin. 

Stephen served in the US Army. He worked for North America Shipbuilding as a welder for 28 years. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman and chose to enjoy both in his early retirement. He was a momma’s boy who drove every day to Golden Meadow to visit her for coffee. Flowers can be sent to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
