Stanford Mecum, 74, a native of Goshen and resident of Des Allemands, died at 10 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at the Mennonite Church in Des Allemands. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Steven (Laurie) Mecum; daughter, Sharon (Herman) Cortez; brother, Hubert Mecum; sister, Patricia Mecum; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Comardelle Mecum; and parents, John and Dorothy B. Mecum.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
