Spring D. Guidry

Spring D. Guidry, 53, a native of Cut Off and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

 Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, on Tuesday, February 18th from 10 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 noon with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Spring is survived by her husband of 26 years, David B. Guidry, Jr; children, Seth R. Guidry and Emma C. Guidry; parents, Jerry Sr. and Laura Dantin; brother, Jerry J. Dantin, Jr. (Natalie); mother-in-law, Audrey P. Guidry as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and friends. 

Spring was a very kind, compassionate, and giving person. Her faith was strong and unwavering. No matter what the task, Spring was always first to offer help and always put herself second. She gave without question and never asked for anything in return. Spring was protective nature and refused to allow anyone to be burdened with her worries. Her smile and laugh filled the room, and she loved spending time with family and friends. Whether at large family gatherings or home with her husband and children cooking, helping with schoolwork and projects, making s’mores around the fire pit, relaxing with coffee and breakfast on Saturday mornings in her favorite spot on the sofa, watching cheesy television game shows, watching her favorite Hallmark movies, checking the weather every morning on the front porch, or yelling at the TV during Sunday NFL, Spring’s love for life and family was tremendous. Her silent strength, love, dedication, and ability to teach without teaching will be missed, and the knowledge that she passed on will continue to be shared with all. If you own a pair of Converse Chucks, please feel free to wear to the service.
