Simon S. Plaisance, 86, a native and resident of Cut Off, LA, passed away in Pasadena, TX, on Friday, August, 6, 2021.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Cut Off, on Friday, August 13th from 10 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 noon with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Simon is survived by his daughter, Val Davis (Carroll); grandchildren, Ashley Sherman and Emily Sherman; great grandson, Cashyn Selvidge; brother, Norman Plaisance Sr.; and sister, Rose Lee.
Mr. Plaisance was preceded in death by parents, Etienne Sr. and Theresa A. Plaisance; brothers, Etienne Jr., Eddie, Raymond Sr., Gabriel, Avit, Anthony, and Gustave; and sisters, Mary Raney, Clothilde Callais, Matilda Plaisance, Albina Plaisance and Ethel Smith.
He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a loving and generous father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed by all.
Due to CDC guidelines regarding Covid 19, please wear face coverings before entering into the church.
