Sidney Joseph Duplantis, Jr., 75, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died on Friday, September 21, 2012.
A private burial was held at St. Francis de Sales II cemetery.
He is survived by hi wife, Linda C. Duplantis; son, Shayne C. Duplantis Sr. and wife Christy; daughter, Justina "Tina" M. Duplantis; six brothers, Kenneth J. Duplantis, Ralph M. Duplantis and wife Sybil, Wayne M. Duplantis and wife Dolly, Donald J. Duplantis and wife Theresa, James B. Duplantis and wife Sally, David B. Duplantis; three sisters, Barbara D. Jordan and husband Charles, Wanda D. Dupre and husband Michaels, Gail D. Yancy; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney J. Duplantis Sr. and Lydie M. Champagne Duplantis; two sisters, Susan E. Duplantis and Frances X. Duplantis.
He served in the United States Army. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
IN lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be preferred.
