Shirley-Rose Savin

Shirley-Rose Catherine Vizier Savin left this earthly home to be enveloped in the arms of her Lord and Savior, on June 17, 2018. She was born on August 27, 1947, in Galliano.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on Wednesday, June 20th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter Shannon Savin Altmeyer and husband Robert, sons Michael Vizier Jr and wife Kassie Vizier, Chad Savin, Scott Savin, her loving mother, Gerline Esponge Vizier, and her sister Susanna Vizier Savin and husband Richard.
She leaves behind step-grandchildren Maddy and Ryan Thibodeaux and a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, David Anthony Savin, Jr, son, Chad James Savin, father Ivey Vizier, brother Michael A. Vizier Sr. and sister-in-law Linda Terrebonne Vizier.
Shirley was a colorful character who left an impression on all that she met. She was a beautician for many years and enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking, and puzzle books. She is deeply cherished as a mother and grandmother and will forever be missed.
