Shirley Hidalgo Robichaux, 92, a native of Raceland, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Franklin Health Care Center.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Raceland Presbyterian Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Michele Dillon, of Richmond Hill, N.Y., Suzanne Bernhardt, of Pine Knoll Shores, N.C., Randy Robichaux, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Janine Thomson, of Franklin, Rusty Robichaux, of Summit, Miss., and Denise Allain, of Metairie; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jerome Robichaux; parents, Emile and Helena Darcey Hidalgo; and siblings. Dorothy Clinch, Russell Hidalgo, Everett Hidalgo, Stanley Hidalgo, Soledad Gilbert, Carmen Hess, Sylvia Neukom and Peter Hidalgo.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Raceland and an active member of the Raceland Presbyterian Church as well as the Raceland Women's Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Raceland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 326, Raceland, LA 70394.
