Shirley Waguespack Foret, 86, a native and resident of Raceland passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 21st from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ivy P. Foret; children, Gary Jules (Linda) Foret, Carolyn Foret (Teddy) Dufrene, Rodney Pierre (Amy) Foret, Rudy Louis (Karen) Foret; daughter-in-law, Betty Plaisance Foret; brothers, Roland Waguespack; sisters, Evelyn W. LeBlanc, Anne W. McSweeney; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules, Sr. and Exse Theriot Waguespack; son, John Gerard Foret; brother, Gerald Waguespack.
Pall bears will be Scott Dufrene, Darryl Foret, Ben Foret, Adam Foret, Steven Foret and Blaine Foret.
Shirley was a member of St. Mary's Ladies Alter Society. She lived for and by her faith.
