Shirley U. Folse, age 88, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church on Monday, July 18, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Shirley is survived by her son, Howard J. Folse Jr. (Patricia); daughter, Sherry Melancon (Daniel); 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "White" J. Folse Sr.; father, Willie Uzee; mother, Octavia Matherne Uzee; brothers, Ira Uzee and Willie "Pookie" Uzee; sisters, Esse Labat and Lela McGee and grandson, Howard J. Folse III.
Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
