Sarah Brumfield Tregre

Sarah Elizabeth Brumfield Tregre, 40 year old native of Cut Off, LA and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Thursday, December 19th, 2024.

Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA. Religious services will be at 11:00am with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery, Galliano, LA.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Paul Tregre; daughter, Carleigh Maryann; son, Griffin Paul; mother Bonnie Whitaker; father Wendell Brumfield; siblings, Clara Allemand (Eno), Emily Brumfield, Bobby Brumfield, Rebecca Brumfield, Robby Brumfield (Brandi); mother-in-law, Mitzi Tregre; brothers-in-law, Michael Tregre (Stacy), Justin Tregre (Blair); grandfather, Charles Griffin, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and 6 godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Maryann Griffin; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Eleanor Brumfield; father-in-law, Barry Tregre and godfather, Chris Cheramie.

Sarah was a loving and compassionate soul who touched the lives of everyone she met. She devoted her life wholeheartedly to her husband, children, and cherished loved ones. Her world revolved around her children; she found her greatest joy in living for them and their happiness. 

As she would always tell her children....it was their world, she just lived in it.

Steven knew from the moment he met her, that’s who he would spend the rest of his life with. She is the love of his life. Our children are a reflection of your gentle spirit, your unwavering strength, and your boundless love. My heart aches in ways I can't describe, but I am so grateful for every moment we shared. You will always be with me, in the memories we created, in our children, and in the countless ways you made my life better.
