Sandra "Kay" Hill Brunet

Sandra “Kay” Hill Brunet, age 58, passed away due to complications from surgery on Saturday, February 1, 2025. She was a native of Sour Lake, TX and resident of Chauvin, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg on Friday, February 14, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin.

Kay is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert James Brunet; sons, Casey J. Brunet and wife, Amy, and Derrick P. Brunet and companion, Brandie; daughters, Melissa B. Brunet and husband, Joey, and Sienna Bruce; sisters, Nancy Williams and husband, Clay, and Rebecca Thornton and husband, Mark; and grandchildren, Emalie, Lucas, Eleanor, Theo and Rubie Brunet.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Charley Wayne Hill and Sandra Joyce Hendrix Hill; and brother, Gerald Hill. 

Kay was a devoted Catholic who loved Mary. She was employed with Dr. Laskey for 13 years, and with Chabert Medical Center as a medical coder for 20 years. She enjoyed collecting dolls, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Kay’s sense of humor was only topped by how much she loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
