Samuel "Eddie" E. Baney, 91, a native of New York City and a resident of Lafourche Parish, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until service time on Thursday, February 15 at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery II.
He is survived by his 3 sons, William Baney (Dorothy), Douglas Baney (Shirley), and Wayne Baney (Lynn); 2 daughters, Lorraine Clement (O'Neil) and Elaine Griffin; sister, Deanna Roth; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Champagne Baney; parents, Donald and Eliza Baney; grandchild, Evan Baney; great-grandchild, Christian Baney; 5 brothers, Robert Baney, Wilbur Baney, Fred Baney, Kenneth Baney, and Donald Baney Jr.; 2 sisters, Attabelle Mae Baney and Helen Bass.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in WWII and The Korean Conflict, and the U.S. Naval Blimp Base in Houma.
