Sam Lusco, 81, a native of Smoke Bend and resident of Houma, died at 9:08 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Elodie Pennison Lusco; two sons, Davey and wife, Rhonda, and Sam and wife, Michelle Lusco Jr.; daughter, Cindy Lusco and fiance, Billy Meyer; grandchildren, Davey II, Sean, Eric, Meagan, and Sammy Lusco, Daniel Gros and Stephanie Bonner; great-granddaughter, Laresah Gros; and sister, Annette Melum.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Josephine Sagona Lusco; daughter, Ellen Lusco; and two brothers, Ignatius and Louis Lusco.
He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales and a marine. He was a Former Alderman for Ward II and City Council member for 12 years.
