Russell J. Valence Sr., 70, a native of Westwego and resident of Paradis, died at 9:57 a.m. Sunday, June 19, 2011.
Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, with burial in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
He is survived by five sons, Barry, Valence, Ronnie Valence, Timmy Valence, Russell John Valence Jr. and Jared Paul Valence; three daughters, Michelle Valence, Angella Valence and Amy Valence Cambre; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mozella Theriot Valence; and one brother, Anthony Valence Jr.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
