Russell John Tastet

Russell John Tastet, 71, a native of Des Allemands, LA and a resident Paradis, LA, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, January 23, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis, LA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands, LA
Russell is survived by his wife Margo Schaubhut Tastet; his daughters Amy Tastet Braud (Sheldon), Niki Tastet Beckemeyer (Christopher); his son Jason Tastet (Ginger); his grandchildren Russell Moulin, Travis, Sara, and Samantha Braud and Autumn Beckemeyer; his brother, David Tastet (Abbey) and his niece Emily Tastet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Tastet and Aurelie “Granny” Adam Tastet.
Russell was born February 26, 1951. He was a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish. He worked at Union Carbide from the age of 18 until his retirement after 32 years. Following his retirement from Union Carbide, he worked for the St. Charles Parish Department of Public Works as the Drainage Superintendent. Since his retirement from the parish, he has enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
