Russell P. Marcel, 86, a native and resident of Houma, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by one son, Thomas Marcel; three daughters, Lyla Barker, Phyllis Boudreaux and Janet Kirsch; six grandchildren, Douglas Levron, Hubert and Travis Boudreaux, Dawn Timperio, Kenneth Barker and Corie Davis; 11 great-grandchildren, Hailey Levron, Ava Levron, Cassidy Boudreaux, Travis Boudreaux Jr., John "Trey" Avery, Grace Avery, Alayna Barker, Megan and Kasey Luke, William Davis and Katie Davis; four brothers, Junel, Kurt, Louis, and Norman Marcel; and four sisters, Rita Mae Porche, Alice Clark, Louise Porche and Ethel Babin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angelle Marcel; his parents, Sullivan and Louise Molaison Marcel; one great-grandchild, Matthew Davis; and one sister, Hazel Filce.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
