Russell J. Crosby, 77, a native and resident of Grand Isle, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Russell is survived by his wife of 57 years, Madeline “Maddie” Crosby; daughters, Sara Crosby (Nathan Wallace), Aimee Badinger (fiancé, Scotty Wilson); and granddaughters, Simone Crosby-Wallace, Adelaide Badinger, Margaret Badinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Murphy Crosby and Naomi Martin Crosby, and brother, Ronald Crosby.
Russell was a faithful Christian soul who truly loved his Lord. He was a loving generous husband and father. He was a good and thoughtful friend. He was a Coast Guard veteran. He was a born outdoorsman who treasured his time fishing and hunting. He was an avid scholar of history. He was the teller of outrageously corny jokes and stories. Russell will be sorely missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 6th at 10:00 am at Lady of the Isle Catholic Church with a funeral Mass to be held at 10:30 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
