Rudolph "Rudy" Ougel

Rudolph “Rudy” Ougel, 77, a native and resident of Larose, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30th at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church from 9 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Rudy is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley C. Ougel; son, Alan G. Ougel; daughter, Naomi O. Brady (Tommy); daughter of the heart, Shada S. Cheramie (Jimmy); grandchildren, Seth Robichaux, Khloe Brady, Shaely and Jelby Cheramie, Thomas, Bailey, and Elli Brady; brother, Stephen Ougel (Sharon); sisters, Diana Folse and Linda Ellender (Bobby) and sister-in-law, Jeanette Ougel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph A. Ougel Sr. and Edia Pitre Ougel; infant brother, Allen Ougel; brother, Chester Ougel; father and mother-in-law, George and Elsie Cavalier.

Rudy loved the Lord, his wife, family, and friends. He enjoyed time in prayer and worship with his wife. He adored his family and valued time and making memories with all those he loved. Rudy had a fond love for music. He appreciated the outdoors and admiring all of God’s beautiful creation. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and football. He will surely be missed.
