Royal "Chief" Paul Marie, 73, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:08 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11;30 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Elie Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Price Marie; son, Mitchell and wife, Tina Marie; daughters, Dixie and husband, Wendell Hebert; brothers, Murphy, Michael, Perry, Mack, and Charles Marie; sisters, Diane Sevin, Virginia Champagne, and Lita Benoit; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oris John and Cornelia Foret Marie; son, Jason Paul Marie; brothers, Junior John Marie; sister, Cecile "Sister" Rash; and great-grandson, Jackson Paul.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
