Roy Ivey, 92, a native of Bebe, Texas and resident of Houma, died at 2:20 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, David Roy Ivey; daughter, Kathy Ann Runnels; grandchildren, Chris and Pat Runnels Jr., and Tate and Tavie Coyle; great-granddaughter, Azumi Runnels; and son-in-law, Billy Coyle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Pearl Ballou Ivey; parents, John and Emma Cook Ivey; daughter, Sherry Lynn Coyle; four brothers, Lexton, Julius, Clarence, and Bart Ivey; and three sisters, Ida Brown, Addie Haynes and Clara Buras.
He was retired from GEMOCO & Ace Transportation Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
