Roy A Champagne, 80, a resident and native of Raceland died on June 11, 2012.
Visitation will be held from 9 am. to funeral time at 11 am on Wed. June 13, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Helen Sampey Champagne, son, Tommy Champagne and wife Annette, daughters, Roylene Verdes, Shelly Lagard and husband Chris, Melinda Champagne, and Donna Mire and husband Scott, brother, Willie Champagne, nine grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olezie and Marceline Loupe Champagne, son-in-law, Eddy Champagne, and sisters, Enola Navarre, and Shirley Bourgeois.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church and a U.S. Army Veteran.
