Ross Robert Barrios, 48, a native and resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018.
Visitation will be from 7:00 pm until 7:30 pm on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Des Allemands Mennonite Church. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm.
He is survived by his daughter, Megan Barrios; mother, Elizabeth Ann Barrios; brother, Perry Joseph Barrios and sisters, Emily Barrios Frischhertz and Emily Barrios Rosales.
He was preceded in death by his son, Quinten Ross Barrios; father, C.J. Barrios, Jr. and sister, Sarah Elizabeth Barrios.
Addiction, mental, illness, and suicide have a close relationship. Ross suffered from the debilitating disease of addition and to honor his memory the family asked for your donations to the Bridge House in New Orleans. If one addict can find recovery the world would be a better place. For 60 years, it has been the Bridge House mission to provide substance abuse treatment services to those who have lost everything, are hopeless, helpless, and many wanting to die. They offer long-term programs that validate each individual member of our community while promoting personal responsibility in a life of recovery.
