Roosevelt P. "Shorty" Guidry, 81, a native and resident of Cut Off, LA, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cut Off, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Tuesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his brother, Roman A. Guidry; sister-in-law, Mabel (Autin) Guidry; 1 nephew, 4 nieces, 11 grand nephews and nieces and 6 great grand nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Julie (Julia) Guidry and brother, Joseph Guidry.
He was a past member of the Cut Off Fire Dept., Cut Off Fishing Club, and a founding member of the Cut Off Youth Center. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Diabetic Association or the Lighthouse for the Blind.
