Roland "R.L." Rome, Jr., 61, a native of Raceland and a resident of Houma, died on Sunday, August 19, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 and from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his two brothers, Gary Rome, and Carl Rome, and his two sisters, Mary Ann Hammond, and Josie R. Barker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Rome Sr. and Martha Bourgeois Rome, and his sister, Lois Rome.
