Roland F. Lagarde, Sr., 81, a native of Lafourche Parish, LA and a resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, June 9, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Larose, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Guidry Lagarde; son, Thomas Lagarde and wife Melanie; daughter, Leslie Lagarde Plaisance and husband Dean; grandchildren, Adam Plaisance and wife Maddi, Brandon Lagarde, Jordan Plaisance, Jared Lagarde, Maggie Ruth Plaisance, Samantha Lagarde; brothers, Lionel Lagarde, Ralph Lagarde; sisters, Helen Hendrix, Marion Claudell, June Hermann, Dora Topham and Nora Orgeron.
He was preceded in death by his son, Roland "Rocky" Lagarde, Jr.; parents, J.T. "Pete" Lagarde and Juliette "Mim" Lagarde.
He was a Korean War Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 315 of Galliano, LA.
