Rodney "P.T." Terrebonne Sr., 74, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, died at 10:13 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by three sons, Toby J. Terrebonne and wife, Jeannie, Rodney J. Terrebonne Jr. and wife, Torey, and Brent J. Terrebonne; three daughters, Dianell T. Trahan and husband, Farrell, Rebecca T. Becker and husband, Bryan Scott, and Shelly A. Terrebonne; brother, Maurice "Mike" Terrebonne; sister, Irene T. Kern; 11 grandchildren, Erica C. Jelks and husband, Jamie, Timmy D. Callais Jr., Sandy M. Trahan, Jay A. Trahan, Lacey R. Trahan, Kristen R. Trahan, Rainie T. Stevens and husband, Mike, Amie Terrebonne, Bradley J. Terrebonne and wife, Kimberly, Joshua J. Terrebonne and Kayla Richardel; and six great-grandchildren, Braxton Callais, Hampton Callais, Andrew "Drew" Rowe Jr., Maxim J. Danos, Bailey Orgeron and Kinsley Terrebonne.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dianne St. Pierre Terrebonne; parents, Dominic and Natchel Cheramie Terrebonne; two brothers, Leo Terrebonne and Invy "Boon" Terrebonne; and six sisters, Gusta T. Adams, Earline T. Pitre, Elenor "Na Na" Terrebonne, Hazel T. Dupre, Genevieve T. Doucet and Leonise "Na Nan" Terrebonne.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He was a member of Port Commission, Knights of Columbus, president of Louisiana Oyster Festival Association, Scout Master, and Admiral Blessing of the Fleet.
