Robert Joseph Babin

Robert Joseph Babin, 79, known by his family and friends as Bob passed away on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 with his loving family by his side.

Mr. Robert is survived by his wife: Patsy O. Babin; son: Lonny Joseph Babin (Bonnie); daughter: Jennie Babin Rodrigue (Bernie); grandchildren: Heidi R. Cehan (Joe), Luke Babin, Claire Babin, Kyle Rodrigue; great grandchild: Sophie Catherine Cehan; brother: Felix Babin; sister: Joyce Babin Dufrene; sisters in law: Jean Ordoyne Bourgeois (Gary), Valerie Bourgeois (Garland); Gail Torres, Kathy Ordoyne; and numerous nieces and nephews:

 Mr. Babin was preceded in death by his parents: Dalmas and Blanche Boudreaux Babin; in-laws: Nicholas and Augustine Durocher Ordoyne; brothers: Junius Babin, Warren “Joe” Babin, Jerry Babin; brothers in law: Warren Dufrene, Nicholas Ordoyne Jr., Tommy Ordoyne, Vernon Thibodaux; sisters in law: Alice Boudreaux Babin, Alice Waguespack Babin, Essie Aizen Babin, and Joyce Fanguy Babin; and nephews: Jeffery Dufrene, Barry Babin, Brian Babin, and Todd Babin.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, July 12th, 2024 from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at St. Mary’s Nativity Community Center, from 9:00 am until service time. Mr. Robert’s Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in the Church Mausoleum. 

 Bob was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. In lieu of flowers, his family request donations in his name to St. Mary’s to continue his legacy.
